Meeting of the Town Council of Huntertown, Indiana
Monday, August 24, 2026, 6:00 p.m.

A public meeting of the Huntertown Town Council was held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Huntertown Town Hall, 15617 Lima Road, Huntertown, IN. Present were town council members Michael Aker, Patricia Freck; Brad Hite; Tina McDonald; and Brandon Seifert; Town Manager Hannah Walker; Clerk-Treasurer Ryan Schwab; Steven Cardenas of Engineering Resources Inc.; five (5) members of the public and zero (0) members of the media. The meeting was streamed on the Town’s YouTube Channel.
Michael Aker called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
COUNCIL ACTION
No action items were presented.
NEW BUSINESS
The following New Business was brought forth:
· Ryan Schwab presented the council with an overview of the proposed budget for fiscal year 2027. The items in the packet included a written explanation of expenses by fund, a copy of the town’s June 30 Fund Report; DLGF Current Year Financial Worksheet; DLGF Budget Form 1 (budget estimate); DLGF Budget Form 2 (Revenue Estimates); DLGF issue revenue estimate forms; and revenue reports from fiscal years 2025-26. Steven Cardenas of Engineering Resources provided a copy of the Town’s pavement asset management plan with 2027 projects listed. Discussion items included salaries, the need for additional employees, and the creation of a park fund. No action was taken.

Tina McDonald made a motion to adjourn. Brandon Seifert seconded. The motion passed with a voice vote and the meeting adjourned at 6:38 p.m.
