Recycling drop-off location changing

Allen County is moving its recycling drop-off site away from the corner of Lima and Carroll Roads and is relocating it on the County's north campus to a site on Ft. Recovery Road. The County Highway Department has leveled the site and laid stone and gravel to accommodate the trailers and the vehicle traffic of residents dropping off their recycling. 

"By moving the site to a more secluded location, we are hoping it will be less of a target for illegal dumping and prevent debris from blowing out onto SR3," Thomas Fox, Director of the Allen County Department of Environmental Management said. "We are planning to eventually fence in the new site, which we hope will help to further address these issues."

The new site officially opens to the public on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 8 a.m.
